Pylkkanen Nu Bottega is a group founded by the saxophonist/leader Pekka Pylkkänen in Rome on 2018 and a recording with the same name was made back then. 

Born in 1964, saxophonist and composer Pekka Pylkkänen has been recognized as one of the stronger jazz artists and saxophonists in Europe. He has performed around the globe and been very successful not only in Europe, but also for example in Asia and South-America. He has collaborated with numerous prestigious artists in many countries, and continues to work as a soloist/leader, recording artist and educator throughout the world. He’s originally from Helsinki, Finland and currently shares his time between his new home in Athens, Greece and Helsinki while maintaining his touring activities around the world.

Kimon Karoutzos is an award winning bassist, composer and educator from Athens, Greece, based in New York City.

He has performed and/or recorded with world class artists such as Cyrus Chestnut, Greg Hutchinson, Arturo O’Farrill, Wycliffe Gordon, Phillip Harper and many others.

Pianist and composer Roberto Tarenzi has performed and recorded since the mid 90’s, leading his own trios (James Cammack and Jorge Rossy, Dario Deidda and Roberto Pistolesi) as well as playing extensively with David Liebman, Stefano DiBattista and Rosario Giuliani. He’s considered one of the biggest talents of his generation in Europe and while continuing to perform throughout the world, he is based in Rome, Italy.

Born in Australia, Adam Pache is one of the most accomplished young jazz drummers on the international jazz scene, known for his feel, depth of musicality and his warm sound on the instrument. Having spent several years studying and performing in New York City, Adam is currently based in Bologna, Italy, maintaining a busy schedule of concerts, recordings and masterclasses throughout Europe. He has toured as a member of the quartet with the Grammy Award-winning singer Diane Schuur, in trio with the highly acclaimed American pianist Eric Reed and as a part of various projects led by Italian jazz greats Francesco Cafiso, Emanuele Cisi and Piero Odorici.
